Frequently Asked Questions about your subscription

Sometimes stuff changes, and it can be annoying to navigate the website to fix it. There’s a bunch of options that seem like they are doing the thing, but they do another thing.

How do I change payment details?

First, you need to login. The button to do so is at the right side of the header on this page. Click Account.

From there, you can add in your new details.

PLEASE NOTE: You must click on SUBSCRIPTIONS on the side bar, and then go to MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION. If you change your details on the previous page, it will only update your auto-filled address for future purchases, not the subscription you currently have.

If, like me, you are very confused about how this website works, hit me up with the last 4 digits of the new payment info, and I’ll double check for you on my end.

How do I change my address?

Unfortunately, you can’t. Squarespace doesn’t allow for this, DESPITE WHAT IT SAYS IN THE LOGIN SIDEBAR.

You can change your address, but that will only work for future transactions. For this issue, you’ll need to cancel your existing subscription and sign up all over again.

Annoying, I know.

If you were an early subscriber on a cheaper rate, contact me and I’ll make a code for you so that you keep paying the legacy price. Tell me the details of your original subscription, and if you like I can cancel the old one for you.

If you would like to cancel yourself, read this bit.

How can I change from a single to a double subscription, or vice versa?

Unfortunately, you can’t do this either.

You’ll need to cancel your existing subscription and sign up all over again.

My card declined, how do I make sure I don’t miss out on this round of beers?

If you are very quick after receiving the declined email, you can follow the steps outlined here and change your details. Squarespace will try process it again with the new information, and it’ll come through on my end when successful.

When I see it, I’ll send it out, but it will be a few days after payment is taken.

If it is processed a bit later, and the beers you missed are already on the shop, then the new payment will unfortunately count towards the next lot of beers. If you’d like to receive these beers too, get it through the shop.

My card declined, and now I am getting beer after everyone else. How can I fix this?

Trust me, this is just as frustrating for me as it is for you.

The only way to get back in sync with everyone else to cancel your existing subscription and sign up all over again. But before you do: make sure that your payment dates are actually behind - of course, different carriers and different locations take different times to ship.

If it is all lined up, your payment should have been taken on a Thursday, and you should have received shipping notifications on the following Monday or Tuesday.

The 6 week billing cycle can be pushed back on my end, but not brought forward, if that makes sense. When you re-sign up, and cancel your old one, contact me and I’ll make sure it all worked right for you. I’ll also ensure your next payment after that aligns with everyone else so you aren’t made to pay weeks prior to the beer being ready each time.

I am going on holiday, can you suspend/skip my next delivery?

Yes. This is actually a thing I can do.

If you would like to skip a round (or two) and still maintain your subscription (and legacy price, if you have one), just contact me with the date you’ll be back, and I’ll take care of the rest. You won’t be charged for beers you do not receive.

If you would like to just delay shipment for a couple of weeks or so, please contact me and tell me when you would like me to ship. You’ll be charged as normal, and the following batch will be charged and shipped as normal, allowing you to forget that you ever had a holiday to begin with.

How do I permanently cancel my subscription?

First, you need to login. The button to do so is at the right side of the header on this page. Click Account, and then input your details from when you signed up.

PLEASE NOTE: You must click on SUBSCRIPTIONS on the side bar, and then go to click on your current subscription to manage it. At the bottom in red, you can hit cancel. You will not be charged for any more beer, and if you like I can refund any beer that has been charged but has not yet shipped.

If, like me, you are very confused about how this website works, hit me up with the name you subscribed under and I’ll double check for you on my end.

When are the next beers coming out?

The next subscriber release is usually on the info section of both my facebook and my instagram pages.

It will also list the day the leftover stock is available if you would like to purchase extra. They come online at midday AWST, usually on a Friday.

Can I come and sit in on a brew day with you?

Sorry, no.

Not because I have any trade secrets or special moves, I am just very easily distracted and tend to screw up with an audience.

If you would like to get specific tips on brewing, there really aren’t any.

You want it hoppier? Add more hops. You want a different mouthfeel? Look at your water profile. Otherwise just focus on mash pH and temp, lauter clean, boil hard and cool fast.
