I am teaming up with Médecins Sans Frontières / MSF to raise money for their efforts in Gaza, Ukraine, South Sudan and beyond. I have held this organisation in high esteem for a long time, and donated monthly for years, but now I am in a position to do a bit more.
MSF/Doctors Without Borders are truly some of the greatest humans. Volunteers, both medical and otherwise, put themselves into active conflict zones to help people regardless of race, religion or political affiliation. These are the most dangerous places on the planet, and these people risk their lives to help the kinds of people that get forgotten by the headlines. Strangers, people that will never be able to repay them. More than 12 volunteers have been murdered since late 2023 in just Gaza.
Yet they persevere.
I have decided to put together a beer to raise money for their amazing efforts. Sometimes charity things of this nature use evasive language, or water it down with phrases like "part proceeds"to obfuscate how much is actually going to the nominated charity.
This beer has been in the works for a few months, with me collecting samples, leftover ingredients and the occasional donated damage stock from suppliers.
With this beer, 100% of revenue (besides shipping and GST) will be donated to MSF, and they will deploy it where it is needed the most. Not profits. The whole lot.
